Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre announces new roster of fall programming

This week, the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre launches its latest roster of exhibits, events, and programming for the fall 2022 season, including some brand new offerings and a few favourites with a seasonal twist.

Opening September 17, Small Town Ontario Streetscapes by Niagara artist Mary Burke will feature a collection of oil-based artworks, capturing the unique character and charm of main streets. On October 1, just in time for Pumpkinfest, the Museum’s Farm Fresh exhibit will open, highlighting the history of farming and agriculture in Bruce County.

Throughout the fall, kids will enjoy special themed PA Day programming and movie days in the Bruce Power Theatre.

Part two of the Museum’s new Break Out of the Bruce bus trip series presented by New Horizons for Seniors will take attendees to Grey Roots & Simcoe County Museums. Closer to Halloween, the Museum will open its doors for the much-anticipated Night of 100 Brides.

“It’s a fun twist on our annual mixer event this season, giving guests a second chance for a night out in their old wedding dress, bridesmaid dress or formal attire,” says Museum Program Coordinator Evan Vatri. “We’ll be hosting a best-of-the-era fashion show contest, a live DJ, Tarot readings, and a presentation showcasing some of the rarely-seen dresses we have in the Museum’s collection.”
